We had a great time celebrating the season and getting all our last-minute holiday shopping done at the Rhode Island Avenue Main Street Procrastinator’s Market on Saturday, December 16th in Brookland. As the event’s title sponsor, we were so happy to provide funding and donate the space used for the event, doing our part to make the market a great success for our community.
Local vendors set up shop to make seasonal shopping easier and more fun than ever. There was a great turnout, as more than 1,200 people stopped by throughout the day. There were over 25 vendors for visitors to pick up all kinds of gifts for everyone on their lists, alongside three food trucks, an art truck, a photo booth, a DJ, and of course—Santa!
The whole event was made even more bright and festive by the surface mural on the ground of the former Brentwood Village Shopping Center, where the event took place. Thank you again to the artist, Matt Corrado, the artist selection committee, and all those who joined Matt for Community Painting day!
