It’s Demo Day at Brookland Manor!
On Tuesday, May 29th, we joined together to celebrate a big step in the redevelopment process: Demo Day! Over 100 RIA-ready Brookland Manor residents and staff joined the MidCity team to take the first swing at one of our Brookland Manor Apartment buildings to kick off the demolition phase. We are slowly beginning the demolition process of the 80-year-old buildings that are at the end of their useful life to make way for new buildings with modern amenities.
But don’t worry—all residents of that building were moved to another unit at Brookland Manor!
Every day we are getting closer to breaking ground on RIA. We are so excited about all the resident participation and support we have received so far—from the resident committees, to participation in community events, to the hundreds of resident-signed declarations of support. Thank you!
We had a great time putting our hard hats on and taking a swing at the building’s exterior wall, enjoying some RIA themed cake and spending time catching up with our friends and neighbors!
